Tourism Australia Teams Up With YouTube
Tourism Australia teams up with YouTube by Cheap Flights Booker UK
Tourism Australia has teamed up with YouTube in an initiative designed to boost Australia"s profile in the digital realm.
The tourism agency is supporting the second YouTube Symphony Orchestra, which will be travelling to Australia in 2011.
Ninety musicians from 30 countries around the world played a sold-out performance at Carnegie Hall in New York for the last YouTube Symphony Orchestra event in 2009.
Andrew McEvoy, managing director of Tourism Australia, said the new partnership is a "perfect fit" with the organisation"s strategy to harness the power of digital marketing.
He added: "While TV, print and cinema advertising remain important, our organisation has long been at the forefront in promoting Australian holidays in the digital space - and we continue to explore new opportunities for taking our tourism message to the world.
"The partnership with YouTube offers an opportunity to further expand Tourism Australia"s presence online to demonstrate why "There"s nothing like Australia" in a very engaging and innovative way."
Internet users can log on to the video-sharing site to visit the tourism agency"s dedicated feed, which is one of the top three channels viewed in the travel category in the UK, Canada, the US and New Zealand.
