"Magical" advertising campaign to promote Bulgaria by Cheap Flights Booker UK

The Bulgaria Tourist Board has announced plans to launch a "magical" advertising campaign that will promote the country in the UK.

Devised to change outdated and inaccurate perceptions of the eastern European nation, the initiative will include a television segment featuring films exploring nature, culture, spa experiences and other topics.

It will also comprise advertisements and articles about Bulgaria in general media and specialised travel outlets, as well as an online component encompassing seven websites.

One of the main aims of the campaign is to showcase attractions other than beach destinations and skiing resorts, such as history, culture, landscapes, wildlife and cuisine.

It will focus on regions such as the Rila and Pirin mountains, which are home to lynx, bears, rare birds and other wild animals.

Tourism minister Ivo Marinov said that Bulgaria is full of "rich possibilities" for both winter and summer holidays.

"We have an ancient culture, rich in history and architecture, with mineral spas and beautiful, preserved nature destinations offering tranquility to tourists," he added.

The promotions will get underway in November this year.
