IHG expands in London by Cheap Flights Booker UK
The InterContinental Hotels Group opened the doors of Hotel Indigo in Paddington, London today and announced a deal to open three more properties in the English capital.
Hotel Indigo is IHG"s boutique hotel product and the new property in London is the first example of the brand outside North America.
The opening of the Paddington hotel marks the beginning of the global roll-out of the Hotel Indigo name, with 56 properties in the pipeline to join the 21 that are already operating in the US and Canada.
Offering 64 rooms, the Hotel Indigo London Paddington comprises nine converted Georgian townhouses on London Street with views over Norfolk Gardens.
Andy Cosslett, chief executive of IHG, said: "Hotel Indigo combines the feel of a boutique hotel with the benefits of a large hotel group, including our reservation systems and loyalty programme.
"The brand has been a success in the Americas and we are confident we can grow it around the world."
IHG is set to open three more Hotel Indigo properties in London by 2012 on Cannon Street, Philpot Lane and Kensington Church Street.
