Alps sees more heavy snowfall by Cheap Flights Booker UK
The Ski Club of Great Britain has reported that more heavy snow has fallen on ski resorts across Europe following a relatively dry period over the past few weeks.
Many Alpine destinations saw snow on 18 January and it is forecast to continue later this week, with more than a metre of fresh powder expected in some resorts.
According to the Ski Club"s latest snow reports, up to 35cm has fallen in the Swiss resorts of Verbier and Zermatt, while Avoriaz and Tignes in France have received as much as 20cm in the last 24 hours.
Courmayeur in Italy is enjoying some of the best conditions with more than 40cm of new snow, while Cortina has seen more than 30cm.
A Ski Club representative in Davos, Switzerland, said: "Over 30cm of snow fell overnight and today was a real powder day. There was just so much snow everywhere. All runs were unpisted so it was just delightful finding fresh tracks."
The Ski Club of Great Britain offers snow reports for some 250 locations all over the world, with resorts including Revelstoke in Canada and Formigal in Spain among those added to its list of reviewed destinations this season.
