The recently opened Southern Star observation wheel in Melbourne has been added to the list of the world"s most unusual places for a romantic encounter.
Two passengers were spotted getting amorous in one of the wheel"s glass capsules, which reach a height of 120 metres over the city of Melbourne and feature a wooden bench that was put to full use by the couple.

He went on to tell the Age that, unlike in the UK when two people were caught in the act on the London Eye, there would not be a ban on couples taking trips on the Southern Star alone.
The Southern Star, which is the largest observation wheel in the southern hemisphere, is now one of Melbourne"s major attractions, along with the city"s aquarium and the Melbourne Museum.
