Ba Offers Another Esta Reminder
BA offers another Esta reminder by Cheap Flights Booker UK
British Airways (BA) has reminded its passengers of the new Electronic System for Travel Authorisation (Esta) scheme, which will come into effect in less than a week and relate to all people visiting the United States under the visa waiver scheme.
The Esta programme will be implemented on 12 January and will require all people travelling to the US under the visa waiver scheme to provide some details about their trip before departure.
Applying for Esta approval is free and can be carried out on the scheme"s dedicated website or via travel providers. Once awarded, travel authorisation is valid for two years.
Customers are advised to apply for an Esta well in advance of their holiday to avoid delay to their journey.
BA government and industry affairs manager Jim Forster said: "The US is our biggest overseas market and we have been working hard to advise our visa waiver customers that they must apply to the Department of Homeland Security well in advance of travel."
During their application, travellers will be asked for basic details such as their name and passport data, as well as optional information including their flight number and holiday destination.
