SAS brings fuel-efficient plane to Birmingham by Cheap Flights Booker UK
SAS Scandinavian Airlines has deployed the next-generation Bombardier CRJ900 plane on its service from Birmingham airport to Copenhagen.
The plane is reportedly the most fuel-efficient in its class and is also four times quieter than its predecessor.
Passengers could benefit from a redesigned cabin with spacious seats, larger storage facilities, bigger windows and a new LED lighting system.
Commenting on the launch of the new aircraft, SAS UK general manager Lars-Ove Filipson said that Birmingham is the "premier gateway" between the Midlands and Scandinavia and a "key airport" for SAS.
He added: "The introduction of the NextGen CRJ900 shows our commitment to the route and will help us maintain the high standards of punctuality that SAS is known for."
Birmingham airport chief executive Paul Kehoe said: "We"re pleased to welcome SAS" next-generation CRJ900 aircraft, which will further improve the local climate for our neighbours whilst providing better quality for passengers travelling to Copenhagen from Birmingham."
SAS offers a total of 11 weekly return services between Birmingham and Copenhagen.
