Ancient Burial Site Discovered In Turkey

Ancient burial site discovered in Turkey by Cheap Flights Booker UK

The national tourist board of Turkey has announced the discovery of the burial place of Arsinoe, the sister of Egyptian queen Cleopatra, in Ephesus on the country"s west coast.
Ephesus is already a location of great historical significance owing to its well-preserved Roman ruins and its associations with early Christian history.
Recent archaeological investigations in the city found an unusual octagonal tomb that contained what are thought to be the remains of Arsinoe, who was murdered in 41 BC on her sister"s orders.
The find is particularly interesting as it was made 300km from Egypt, creating a link between Ephesus and the life of Cleopatra.
Visitors will be able to see the remains of Arsinoe"s tomb when they are rebuilt and refurbished to something like their original state.
Just outside Ephesus, tourists can see a column that marks the location of the Temple of Artemis, where Cleopatra"s sister is said to have died.
Ephesus is located on Turkey"s western coast, a popular travel destination that boasts the holiday hotspots of Antalya, Bodrum and Dalaman.
