Brits Happy To Take Their Mums On Holiday
Brits "happy to take their mums on holiday" by Cheap Flights Booker UK
With Mother"s Day (22 March) swiftly approaching, it appears that most British people would be happy to give their mum a memorable treat by taking her away on holiday, a survey suggests.
More than half (54%) of the people polled by travel add-ons company Holiday Extras said they would be more than happy to go on holiday with their mum.
Mike Whiting, managing editor at Holiday Extras, said: "Mums deserve a treat on Mother"s Day so it"s great to hear that so many people would gladly take theirs on holiday."
Maternal relationships are by no means universally happy, however, as 22% of respondents said they couldn"t think of anything worse than going away with their mother.
Nearly a fifth (19%) of people said they would consider holidaying with their mum but only out of a sense of duty, while one in 20 (5%) said they would be happy to do it but their partner would think otherwise.
Holiday Extras recently released the results of a survey which suggested that travellers are split on the prospect of expansion at London Heathrow.
Half of the people surveyed said development of the airport will be positive for holidaymakers and help the economy, but 21% were against it for environmental reasons and another 20% disapproved because of the impact on local residents.
