Travellers Willing To Pay For Cultural Experiences
Travellers "willing to pay for cultural experiences" by Cheap Flights Booker UK
Learning about foreign cultures is the one experience that travellers are most willing to pay for, according to a new survey.
More than half (57%) of the respondents to the Visa and Pacific Asia Travel Association (Pata) poll said they would be willing to spend more money on holiday to experience different cultures.
The survey also found that the majority of travellers are willing to pay extra for good customer service and to visit exotic destinations.
Pata spokesperson Meranda Chan said: "As time is precious, people want to make the most out of their holidays and so are willing to spend more to have a unique experience that goes off smoothly.
"It is now easier than ever to travel to a wide range of destinations and people are using this opportunity to learn more about different cultures."
Greg Duffell, president and chief executive of the travel association, said interest in visiting exotic destinations is benefiting the Asia Pacific tourism industry.
Pata released a survey earlier this year which revealed that people from Great Britain, Australia, Singapore and America are among the least likely to let the economic situation prevent them from travelling in 2009.
