BA Invites Fans To Name Aircraft
BA invites fans to name aircraft by Cheap Flights Booker UK
Rugby fans are being given the opportunity to name the British Airways (BA) aircraft that will carry the British and Irish Lions to South Africa in May.
A public competition will be held inviting proposals for a name and a judging panel including former player Jeremy Guscott will decide on the winner.
In 2003, the plane that flew the England team back from Australia after their World Cup win was named Sweet Chariot, while the aircraft used following the 2007 tournament in France bore the title Hope and Glory.
This year"s competition represents the first time that the public has been asked to name the plane that will carry an international rugby team.
Former England star Guscott said: "We"re asking rugby fans to get behind the team and show their support by coming up with the most creative, fitting and inspiring name that will take their heroes to South Africa."
This year"s tour will see the British and Irish Lions play three games against South Africa - in Durban on 20 June, in Pretoria on 27 June and in Johannesburg on 4 July.
