Flybe Expecting Busy Easter
Flybe expecting busy Easter by Cheap Flights Booker UK
Regional airline Flybe has revealed that it is "on track for a bumper Easter" this year, with an expected increase of 8% in ticket sales over the holiday period.
Good Friday (10 April) is expected to be one of the busiest days for travel and load factors are expected to reach more than 90% on certain routes.
Services to and from Belfast, the Scottish Highlands and the Channel Islands have seen high demand as people plan trips to visit friends and family, Flybe revealed.
Particular routes that have proven popular include the airline"s services from Southampton to Belfast City and Malaga, Birmingham to Hamburg and Manchester to Hannover.
Mike Rutter, Flybe"s chief commercial officer, said: "With just days to go, we"re forecasting a bumper Easter weekend and also experiencing a higher than average rate of last minute bookings.
"Domestic travel has proved to be the most popular for families looking to get together over the long weekend. Travelling direct from regional airports is a far more convenient option for families, as it allows them to avoid the heavily congested roads."
Flybe launched a service between Newquay and London Gatwick earlier this year that proved popular with people from the south-west accessing connecting flights to destinations as far afield as Panama City, Copenhagen and Arizona.
