Glasgow Airport Encourages Early Holiday Bookings
Glasgow airport encourages early holiday bookings by Cheap Flights Booker UK
A new marketing campaign has been launched by Glasgow airport with the aim of encouraging holidaymakers to book their summer breaks early this year.
The "Time to Fly" initiative highlights the advantages of travelling from the Scottish hub following its recent £31m makeover.
Travellers will also be informed that nearly 90 locations are now served from Glasgow, with more than a dozen new flights to destinations in Canada, Cuba, Turkey and other countries launching this summer.
Amanda McMillan, managing director of the airport, said: "After a long winter, most of us are now thinking about booking holidays and getting good value for money is more important than ever.
"With 150 destinations available from Scotland, including almost 90 from Glasgow alone, canny Scots will be surprised how far their budget takes them. From Dublin to Dubai, Cardiff to Calgary and Plymouth to Philadelphia, there are destinations to suit everyone"s budget."
Airport operator BAA recently announced a five-year plan to boost public transport use at Glasgow, which will be aided by the introduction of a new rail link in 2013.
