SAS trialling mobile boarding by Cheap Flights Booker UK

SAS Scandinavian Airlines has announced the launch of a trial of mobile boarding technology.
The trial period will run from 15 April to 1 July as the carrier strives to make travel as "hassle-free" as possible for its passengers.
Customers will be able to use the mobile boarding option on SAS flights between seven destinations: London Heathrow, Copenhagen, Gothenburg, Helsinki, Oslo, Stavanger and Stockholm.
Travellers who can access the internet on their mobile can check in via SMS or on an online portal to receive a mobile boarding pass containing details including their flight number and departure time.
Lars Sandahl Sorensen, senior vice-president of commercial operations for SAS, said: "Currently, approximately 10% of SAS passengers check in via SMS, but our goal for 2011 is that 80% of our customers check in off-airport, which means online or via their mobile.
"It is very important for us that our customers have the smoothest and simplest travel experience possible with us. We are therefore looking forward to rolling out the service later this year, once we have evaluated the trial."
SAS operates a network of international flights that includes connections to Tokyo, Dubai, Paris and New York.
