Govt offers more guidance on financial protection by Cheap Flights Booker UK

The government has urged travellers to be aware of the importance of financial protection for their holidays and set up a dedicated website to offer information and advice on the issue.
According to a recent survey carried out by YouGov for the Department for Transport (DfT), 57% of British holidaymakers don"t always check if their holiday is protected when they make a booking.
Some 43% of the respondents said that they would not know where to go for advice on whether their holiday has financial protection.
The DfT stressed that it is "very rare" for an airline or tour operator to go bust but said that protection is an important part of ensuring that a holiday is safe and stress free.
Transport minister Jim Fitzpatrick said: "Half of the people surveyed are planning a trip in the next 12 months so we want to ensure that holidaymakers have the right information about what they can do to protect their holidays.
"There are numerous types of financial protection available, so the launch of the "holiday protection" information on Directgov aims to outline the facts and help you make the right decisions according to your travel plans."
Abta - The Travel Association also reiterated the importance of financial protection recently but said that there is no need for travellers to be worried about future airline and travel agent collapses.
