IHG Organises Worlds Biggest Bed Jump
IHG organises "world"s biggest bed-jump" by Cheap Flights Booker UK
InterContinental Hotels Group (IHG) has set a new record for the world"s biggest bed-jump, with 22,665 people bouncing on giant beds for a period of 16 hours.
The beds, which measured 15 metres by ten metres, were built at four locations around the world - Shanghai, Paris, London and New York.
Each bed-jumping session was started by an Olympic gymnast, with Jaime Moore and James Higgins from London 2012"s Team Great Britain participating in the event in Covent Garden.
IHG organised the record-breaking bed-jump to mark the launch of a new promotion that will see over 5m hotel rooms being given away for free at 4,000 of the group"s properties in over 100 countries.
Tom Seddon, IHG"s chief marketing officer, said: "We invited people to come and bounce on our massive beds to rediscover the fun of bed-jumping and put a smile on their faces.
"We felt it was the perfect way to celebrate the fact we"re giving away over 5m free nights available in over 4,000 hotels across 100 countries."
The hotels group is currently in the process of revamping its Holiday Inn brand, with a property in Chicago O"Hare area opened earlier this month following a renovation.
