Mexico Travel Advice Updated
Mexico travel advice updated by Cheap Flights Booker UK
British nationals are no longer being advised to avoid all but essential trips to Mexico.
The Foreign and Commonwealth Office (FCO) announced that it was updating its travel advice for Mexico following a decline in the number of new cases of swine flu in the country.
No new cases of the illness have been confirmed since 9 May, following the peak of the outbreak on 26 April.
The FCO continues to advise that all people travelling to an area of the world that has been affected by swine flu should follow local advice and take precautions to avoid exposure to the virus.
Travellers should also arrange suitable insurance before setting off and ensure they have access to adequate healthcare.
Japan is the latest country to be affected by the swine flu outbreak, with around 120 people thought to have contracted the illness, prompting the closure of schools and the cancellation of public events.
