San Francisco Airport Gets Tweeting
San Francisco airport gets tweeting by Cheap Flights Booker UK
San Francisco airport (SFO) has launched a new promotional campaign that directs customers to follow its Twitter character "SFOgal" to be in with a chance of winning free flight tickets.
Air carriers participating in the initiative include Singapore Airlines, Lufthansa, Qantas and Aer Lingus.
The campaign will include eight radio broadcasts that will cover the benefits of each airline and the cities they serve and tell listeners to follow the airport"s SFOgal Twitter feed.
Jane Sullivan, San Francisco airport"s marketing manager, said: "This campaign is fun and innovative, and using Twitter allows us to both extend the reach and the message that we are trying to convey – that SFO is California"s gateway to everywhere.
"SFOgal"s tweets can expand on the radio ads. She can tweet about free ticket offers, additional benefits, new airline service, our podcasts and all of the cool things to do at SFO."
San Francisco airport"s international flight network was boosted recently when Emirates launched a new daily non-stop service from the US city to Dubai.
