US Airways is providing an extra option for transatlantic travellers with the launch of new flights linking Birmingham airport to Philadelphia.
The airline will offer five weekly flights on the route, with departures from the UK every day except Tuesdays and Thursdays.
A Boeing 757 aircraft will operate the seasonal service, providing 164 seats in the main cabin and 12 seats in business class.
US Airways spokesperson Suzanne Boda said: "We"re thrilled to expand our presence in the United Kingdom with new Birmingham flying.
"Our customers will have spectacular transatlantic access via our international gateway at Philadelphia from London"s Heathrow and Gatwick Airports, Manchester and Glasgow, in addition to Birmingham."
US Airways will further expand its international network later this year when it launches new flights to Oslo in Norway and Tel Aviv in Israel.
The airline"s existing network of services from the UK includes flights from London to Los Angeles and from Manchester to Orlando.
