Apprentice star bags bargains in Singapore by Cheap Flights Booker UK
Michelle Dewberry, winner of the second series of The Apprentice, showed that she had an eye for a bargain as well as a good business deal at the Great Singapore Sale this year.
With her team-mate Amanda Zuydervelt, Ms Dewberry picked up the top prize in the Great Singapore Shopping Challenge, which was held in Singapore on 30 May.
Now in its sixth year, the competition featured 20 international teams who went head-to-head in a three-hour shopping spree to see who could find the best bargains.
Competing against teams from Australia, China, Thailand and other countries, the Apprentice star and her co-shopper managed to save an impressive S$25,581 (£11,000) through bargain shopping.
Divya Panickar of the Singapore Tourism Board said: "The UK team"s success is indicative of Singapore"s appeal as one of the world"s top shopping destinations.
"Choice, quality and above all value for money continue to be its trademarks, further enhanced by the excitement, vibrancy and ambience of [the] recently revamped Orchard Road."
The shopping challenge was held to launch the Great Singapore Sale, a bargain bonanza that will run until 26 July.
