Etihad Expecting Busy Summer
Etihad expecting busy summer by Cheap Flights Booker UK
Etihad Airways has revealed that it is expecting the forthcoming summer period to be its busiest ever.
The carrier will expand its network in June with the addition of three new European destinations - Istanbul, Athens and Larnaca.
Etihad is set to operate around 900 weekly flights over the summer, compared to the 750 services that it provided last year.
Captain Richard Hill, the airline"s chief operations officer, said: "The summer is the busiest period for any airline and Etihad Airways is anticipating 2009 to be our busiest ever, especially with the new Mediterranean destinations of Athens, Istanbul and Larnaca set to join our global flight network."
In anticipation of the busy summer period, Etihad encouraged its passengers to be fully prepared for their trip and check in online to help all flights depart punctually.
As well as extending its European network, the airline will boost its long-haul operations this year when it launches new flights to Chicago from Abu Dhabi.
