Etihad introduces flights to Athens by Cheap Flights Booker UK

Etihad Airways has launched new flights to Athens, adding the Greek capital to the expanding range of destinations it serves from its hub in Abu Dhabi.
Travellers will be able to catch three weekly flights to Athens from Abu Dhabi, increasing to five services every week in October and eventually to a daily connection in 2010.
Peter Baumgartner, Etihad"s chief commercial officer, revealed that Athens is the airline"s 12th European destination and said that the new service "links two leading global capitals".
"It will also provide a welcomed service for Greek communities worldwide, particularly in Melbourne and Sydney," he added.
Etihad is pursuing an extensive expansion plan this year that has already seen the airline launch flights to Melbourne in Australia and Istanbul in Turkey from Abu Dhabi.
Athens will not be the only destination introduced to the airline"s network in June, with flights to Larnaca in Cyprus due to get underway before the end of the month.
