Qatar Airways confirms flights to Melbourne by Cheap Flights Booker UK

Qatar Airways has announced that it will launch its first service to Australia this year, with new flights to Melbourne set to get underway on 6 December.
Akbar Al Baker, chief executive officer of the airline, confirmed at the Paris Air Show that travellers will be offered three weekly services from Doha to Melbourne on a new Boeing 777 long-range aircraft.
The connection is the first of two Australian routes that Qatar Airways plans to launch, along with new flights to Sydney.
Mr Al Baker said: "I know the travelling public is eager for us to begin serving Australia and I"ve had many people ask me about our direct routes to Melbourne and Sydney.
"We"re finalising some details with regulatory authorities in Australia and once we"ve received the necessary aircraft from Boeing, we will be ready to operate."
Qatar Airways" existing network of routes from Doha includes flights to Cape Town, Mumbai, Hong Kong and Singapore, as well as several destinations in the United States through its codeshare partner United Airlines.
