San Francisco airport to host live music by Cheap Flights Booker UK
San Francisco airport will once again be offering some live musical entertainment for its visitors this year at the "You Are Hear" concert season.
The series of shows got underway on 19 June with a performance by Bart Davenport and will continue until 28 August.
All sorts of genres will be represented, from acoustic jazz and R&B to Brazilian samba and classical, offering travellers an experience of San Francisco"s diverse music scene as they pass through the airport.
John L Martin, director of the hub, said: "An airport is usually an unlikely setting for listening to live music, but it is a surprise and delight when our passengers discover the bands playing. Everyone slows down, smiles and starts tapping their feet to the music.
"It"s a wonderful summer treat - and a great way to give travellers a glimpse of what San Francisco has to offer."
San Francisco airport hosts flights to more than 30 international destinations and 65 cities in the United States.
It was recently announced that the airport had received $15.3m (£9.3m) from the US government to install a new baggage screening system in its second terminal.
