South African Airways expands global network by Cheap Flights Booker UK
South African Airways has announced extensions to its route network that will boost the airline"s presence in Africa, Australia and South America.
Three extra weekly flights have been added from the airline"s Johannesburg hub to the city of Lagos, Nigeria, while frequency to Douala, Cameroon, has been increased from two to three services a week.
On its route to Perth, Australia, South African Airways is increasing frequency from five to seven flights a week.
Buenos Aires, Argentina has also been made more accessible for travellers with the launch of an extra service on the route, which will now be served by three weekly flights.
The airline said that the changes in its schedule are "in line with demand trends in the current economic environment" and reflective of its strategy to develop its operations in certain regions.
South African Airways flies to more than 900 destinations in 159 countries, a route network that will prove useful for football fans next year when South Africa hosts the 2010 World Cup.
