Star Alliance Carriers Move To Heathrow Terminal 1
Star Alliance carriers move to Heathrow Terminal 1 by Cheap Flights Booker UK
Five Star Alliance members - Austrian Airlines, Lufthansa, Swiss, Croatia Airlines and TAP Portugal - have moved from Terminal 2 to the refurbished Terminal 1 at London Heathrow.
They join seven Star Alliance carriers that are already operating from the terminal - Air New Zealand, Asiana, bmi, LOT Polish Airlines, South African Airways, United Airlines and US Airways.
The change is part of the airline group"s "move under one roof" strategy at Heathrow, which is being launched to bring member carriers together to improve the travel experience for customers.
One of the results of the move is a new branded check-in area that is being used by Austrian, Croatia Airlines, Lufthansa, TAP Portugal and LOT Polish Airlines.
Heathrow"s Terminal 1 also offers three lounge facilities, where eligible customers can use computers, shower facilities and wireless internet services.
One alliance member, bmi, recently boosted its offering at the airport with the opening of its Number One Heathrow lounge, which is open to business class and Star Alliance Gold passengers.
