Caution Advised For Festival Goers
Caution advised for festival-goers by Cheap Flights Booker UK
Travellers planning to head to overseas festivals this summer have been reminded of the importance of keeping their money safe.
According to foreign exchange firm Travelex, the average British festival-goer loses £140 through theft, hidden charges and fluctuating exchange rates over the course of a two-day event.
Music fans travelling abroad could therefore lose a collective total of £7m during a single festival this summer, according to the company"s research.
Travelex spokesman Steve O"Donovan said: "At any one festival there can be as many as 50,000 people living in a small space.
"In such a busy environment, items are bound to get misplaced or even stolen, therefore making sure that your money is secured has to be a top priority in ensuring that revellers have a good time and stay safe."
According to research released by Travelex in June, the average British holidaymaker plans to spend around £523 during a one-week break this year.
