EasyJet to launch flights to Tel Aviv by Cheap Flights Booker UK
EasyJet will launch flights to Tel Aviv in Israel later this year, it has been announced.
The airline will become the first low-cost carrier to fly from London to Tel Aviv when it launches the new service from Luton airport on 2 November.
Operating six times a week, the route will give travellers the chance to experience a "historic destination" and explore the "chic and unique cosmopolitan city of Tel Aviv", according to easyJet.
Andy Harrison, chief executive of the airline, said: "This is a major breakthrough. For the first time the traveling public in the London area has the choice between a high-cost traditional airline and a low-cost alternative.
"We look forward to bringing our unique blend of low fares with friendly service to a whole new market."
It was also announced that easyJet will be expanding its presence in Morocco in November with the launch of twice-weekly flights to Agadir from London Gatwick.
The carrier confirmed earlier this month that it would be launching 15 new routes across Europe for the 2009-10 winter schedule, including new flights to Lanzarote, Sharm el Sheikh and other destinations from the UK.
