Flybe opens Wi-Fi hotspots at UK lounges by Cheap Flights Booker UK
Regional airline Flybe is now offering its passengers the option of accessing Wi-Fi hotspots at six airport lounges in the UK.
The carrier has teamed up with wireless internet provider BT Openzone to open the access points at Belfast City, London Gatwick, Glasgow, Edinburgh, Birmingham and Exeter airports.
O2 iPhone and mobile broadband users will be able to use the new service for free if access is included in their contracts, as will BT broadband customers with inclusive Wi-Fi minutes and BT Openzone subscribers.
Other travellers can buy vouchers on the BT Openzone website enabling them to access the wireless networks.
Chris Bruce, general manager of the internet provider, said: "Business travellers want to be productive before their flights and holidaymakers are armed with wireless devices. With access in the UK, plus overseas hotspots, we"re providing more Wi-Fi where travellers want it."
Flybe"s product manager Jim Eaton-Terry added: "Flybe lounges allow you to enjoy complimentary drinks and snacks and now stay connected using the wireless internet now available in all our lounges."
Holidaymakers planning to visit Barcelona this year will also be able to access the internet at 170 Wi-Fi hotspots that were recently opened across the city.
