Icelandair increases flights to Reykjavik by Cheap Flights Booker UK
Icelandair will launch new flights to Reykjavik from Manchester and Glasgow on 25 September this year.
The airline announced that it would add two flights a week to its current schedule from the two UK airports, offering four connections a week on Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays and Saturdays.
Services operate on a "triangle route", with flights departing from Reykjavik to Manchester, followed by a link from Manchester to Glasgow and a final connection from Glasgow to Reykjavik.
As well as offering access to the Icelandic capital, the increased flights will enable travellers to connect to Icelandair"s North American destinations such as Orlando, New York and Toronto.
Hjorvar Saeberg Hognason, Icelandair"s general manager in the UK and Ireland, said: "We are pleased to expand our service from Glasgow and Manchester to Iceland and our North American destinations.
"This will provide our passengers with increased convenience and flexibility to travel to Iceland to take advantage of the favourable exchange rate, plus increase the options for connecting onwards to fantastic destinations like New York City, Boston, Seattle and more."
Music fans will be planning their trips to Reykjavik soon ahead of the Iceland Airwaves festival, which will be held between 14 and 18 October.
