Lufthansa, Brussels Airlines launch joint flights to Africa by Cheap Flights Booker UK
Lufthansa and Brussels Airlines have extended their codeshare agreement with the launch of joint flights to Africa.
The first jointly operated long-haul services are Brussels Airlines" flights to Entebbe in Uganda from its base in Belgium and Lufthansa"s link from Frankfurt to Libreville in Gabon.
Flights on both routes are available now and can be booked under both carriers" flight numbers.
Lufthansa and Brussels Airlines revealed plans to offer more long-haul flights to Africa on a codeshare basis as they extend their networks across the continent.
Both carriers already have a codeshare arrangement on all cross-border routes between Germany and Belgium and selected services throughout Europe.
Lufthansa also announced this month that, along with Swiss, it carried some 33.2m passengers in the first half of the year.
From its hub in Frankfurt, the German airline operates flights to Sao Paulo, Cape Town, Singapore, San Francisco and several other long-haul destinations.
