Madame Tussauds to open in LA by Cheap Flights Booker UK
A new branch of Madame Tussauds is to open in Los Angeles this weekend.
The world-famous wax museum will open its doors to the Californian public on Saturday (1 August).
Paying a tribute to Hollywood, the museum will display figures of silver screen greats like Charlie Chaplin, James Dean, John Wayne and Paul Newman.
In addition, there are many wax statues of modern A-list celebrities, including Brad Pitt, George Clooney, Julia Roberts and Penelope Cruz.
Other themed areas in the museum are the Making Movies room, the Spirit of Hollywood zone and the Sports section.
"Rest assured, this isn"t your grandparents" museum where the figures look like stiffs," the museum said in a statement.
"Madame Tussauds staff have perfected the art of bringing celebrities to life, and now you"ll get a chance to walk the red carpet with the stars, pose with them for pictures and even give an awards speech with Oscar-winner Halle Berry."
The original Madame Tussauds was established in Baker Street, London in the 1830s when French wax figure maker Marie Tussaud settled down in the area.
