Reduced Mobility Service Helps Thousands At Bristol
Reduced mobility service "helps thousands at Bristol" by Cheap Flights Booker UK
A support service for passengers with reduced mobility at Bristol airport has reportedly helped over 33,000 people since it was introduced 12 months ago.
The service, which is provided by OCS, helps passengers from the time they arrive at the airport to the moment they board and also meets inbound travellers landing at Bristol airport.
Various pieces of specialist equipment are operated by the company"s staff, including hydraulic vehicles to help passengers board and disembark aircraft.
In July last year, new regulations were passed in the EU that placed responsibility on airports to offer additional services to passengers with reduced mobility.
Marshall Beach, regional operations director for OCS, said: "So that we can ensure they get the best possible service, passengers are encouraged to notify their airlines in advance if they require assistance.
"They will then be met by OCS staff in the car parks or the terminal building and accompanied through check-in and security into the departure lounge, before receiving assistance boarding their flight."
Travellers can catch flights to New York, Prague, Paris and many other destinations from Bristol airport with carriers such as Continental Airlines, easyJet and Air France.
