Southampton airport nominated for award by Cheap Flights Booker UK

Southampton Airport has appeared as a finalist in one of the categories of the TTG Travel Awards.
The airport is one of the candidates contesting for the prestigious Airport of the Year gong, which is organised by industry publication Travel Trade Gazette.
Managed by BAA, Southampton Airport handles almost 2m passengers each year and offers flights to some 40 destinations across Europe.
The airport first opened in 1910, with the single terminal building dating back to 1994.
Commenting on receiving the nomination, Kevin Brown, managing director of Southampton Airport, said: "These awards are regarded as a universal benchmark of quality within the travel industry."
He added: "Southampton Airport really focuses upon providing an easy, fast and friendly service to ensure every passenger breezes through the airport."
More than 1,200 people work at the airport, which was recently named number one for customer service in Europe in the ACI Awards.
