Euro Hotspots Will Remain Popular Despite Currency
Euro hotspots "will remain popular despite currency" by Cheap Flights Booker UK
The strength of the euro against the pound will not stop British travellers visiting popular holiday hotspots such as Spain and France, according to an industry expert.
Sharron Livingston, editor of the Travel Magazine, acknowledged that the "severe pounding" that sterling has taken on the currency market has made many European destinations "markedly more expensive".
However, many destinations in France and Spain are now established to the point that the currency situation is not expected to stop people visiting.
"Easy-to-access hotspots [in] traditionally popular countries such as Spain and France remain popular despite the strong euro because links are good and the British market is well catered for," Ms Livingston said.
For people who are willing to do a little research, there is good value on offer in destinations such as Turkey, Egypt and Thailand, according to the magazine editor.
A recent study by Tesco Travel Money found that two-fifths of British families have not yet booked their summer holidays, a third of whom are putting their plans on hold for financial reasons.
