Israeli government welcomes new Tel Aviv flights by Cheap Flights Booker UK
The announcement by easyJet that it will be launching new flights to Tel Aviv from London Luton this year has been welcomed by the government of Israel.
EasyJet will commence operations on the route on 2 November and offer six services a week, flying every day except Friday.
The new connection means that, for the first time, travellers have the opportunity to catch low-cost flights to Tel Aviv from the London area.
Pini Shani, director of the overseas department at the Israel ministry of tourism, said that the easyJet flights will have a highly beneficial effect on the country"s travel industry.
"It is fantastic news that the capacity for visitors to Tel Aviv is being increased so substantially with the introduction of six more flights a week to the destination by easyJet," he said.
"This welcome investment into tourism to Israel by this leading low-cost airline will undoubtedly be of benefit to the consumer and grow visitor figures to Tel Aviv from the London area."
EasyJet recently announced that it was putting its spring 2010 flight schedule on sale, enabling travellers to make early plans for their future holidays.
