New flights to Athens to be launched from Heathrow by Cheap Flights Booker UK
Aegean Airlines has announced that it will begin operating new flights to Athens from London Heathrow in October this year.
From 25 October, the carrier will offer two daily connections to the capital of Greece, with departures from London at 12:45 and 17:20 and return services leaving Athens at 09:10 and 20:20.
The schedule has been devised to enable connections to Aegean"s domestic network.
Destinations that travellers can reach with the carrier via Athens include Heraklion, Rhodes, Kos, Mykonos and Corfu.
The new service will be operated by Airbus A321 aircraft offering amenities including a full meal and an inflight entertainment system with six music channels and a free movie for all passengers.
Aegean Airlines has been made a member of the Star Alliance and will be fully integrated into the network by June 2010.
The carrier has plans to expand its network into North America by developing partnerships with other Star Alliance members such as United Airlines, US Airways and Air Canada.
