Qantas receives fourth A380 by Cheap Flights Booker UK
Australian airline Qantas has taken delivery of its fourth Airbus A380, which landed in Sydney today (24 August) following a flight from Toulouse.
The carrier plans to increase its A380 services from Sydney to London via Singapore to three to five per week, while the number of weekly flights to Los Angeles from Sydney will rise from three to four from 7 September.
Qantas began using the A380 in October 2008 and the operations have been "incredibly popular" with customers, said Alan Joyce, the airline"s chief executive officer.
"Our fifth and sixth A380s are also due for delivery by the end of the year, after which we will offer customers daily A380 services to London and Los Angeles from Sydney and increase Melbourne-Los Angeles services from two to three per week," he added.
"Qantas will then operate 17 return A380 services per week between Australia and the UK and US."
The first carrier to begin operating A380 services was Singapore Airlines, which currently uses the aircraft on flights to Hong Kong, Sydney, Paris, London and Tokyo.
