Thai Airways receives 1,000th Airbus A330 by Cheap Flights Booker UK
Thai Airways took delivery of its 1,000th Airbus A330-300 long-range aircraft at an event in Toulouse, France this month.
The occasion was described as a marker of the "grand success" of Airbus A330-300 production by Narongsak Sangapong, acting president of Thai Airways.
Three more A330s are due to be added to the airline"s fleet by the end of the year, following the two that were delivered in April and May.
Fabrice Brogier, chief operating officer of Airbus, said: "When the A330/A340 family
first entered service in 1993 it set a new standard in the mid-size, wide-body market.
"Today, the product line remains the benchmark for in-service aircraft in this category, offering airlines a proven range of models optimised for medium, long and very long-haul operation."
The inflight entertainment system on Thai Airways" A330-300 planes features a personal touch screen for every seat offering a choice of 40 movies, 30 hours of documentaries and 600 songs.
More than 70 destinations around the world are served by the airline.
