Travellers Should Ask For Help When Flying

Travellers "should ask for help when flying" by Cheap Flights Booker UK

Travellers with disabilities should not feel embarrassed about asking for help at airports or during flights, industry leaders have said.
ABTA - The Travel Association said that passengers who need support should let their airline or tour operator know that they might require help at least 48 hours before travelling.
According to the organisation, the Persons with Reduced Mobility Regulations, which came into effect last year, have been instrumental in improving accessibility to air travel.
"Many people can feel embarrassed about asking for help but then find they need it when they arrive at the airport and are faced with a long walk to the gate," explained Mark Tanzer, the chief executive of ABTA.
He added: "The travel industry is more than happy to provide assistance and there is no shame in asking for it."
The Persons with Reduced Mobility Regulations require all tour operators, airlines and airports within the EU to make their services fully accessible to people with physical disabilities and mobility problems.
