Celebrate art in Italy by Cheap Flights Booker UK
Travellers visiting Italy over the coming months will be able to broaden their artistic horizons by visiting a number of new exhibitions opening across the country.
The Italian State Tourist Board announced that a display comparing the work of Caravaggio and Francis Bacon, who are very different in style but similar in some of their interests, will open in Rome next month.
Galleria Borghese will host the exhibition from 2 October until 24 January 2010.
Also due to open in Rome is Paintings of an Empire, a display bringing together a number of frescoes, portraits and other works that will be based at Scuderie del Quirinale from 24 September.
People planning to visit Venice will be able to see In-Finitum at the Fortuny Museum until 15 November. This exhibition features work by artists who explored the theme of infinity, including Paul Cezanne, Joan Miro and Pablo Picasso.
Another popular Italian city, Florence, will provide some cultural stimulation for its visitors at the Biennale, which will run from 5 to 13 December this year.
