Swiss has announced an update to its culinary offering that will see first and business class passengers provided with a number of new menus on its flights to Hong Kong from Zurich.
The new provisions will be part of the airline"s "taste of Switzerland" culinary programme, through which it offers a selection of meals and wines associated with different parts of the country.
To create the new menus, Swiss teamed up with Florian Trento, the executive chef at the five-star Peninsula hotel in Hong Kong.
A new selection of specialities devised by the chef will be added to Swiss flights every three months.
Markus Binkert, the airline"s head of products and services, said: "We are delighted to have forged this new partnership with the Peninsula Hong Kong.
"With its excellent reputation, the hotel is an ideal complement to our existing "Swiss taste of Switzerland" culinary programme; and with its Swiss executive chef Florian Trento, we can provide our first and business class guests with a unique "Asian-Swiss rendezvous" at 30,000 feet."
From its hub in Zurich, Swiss operates flights to Tokyo, Shanghai, Bangkok and other Asian destinations.
