UK Holidaymakers Planning Late Summer Breaks
UK holidaymakers "planning late summer breaks" by Cheap Flights Booker UK
Nearly three quarters (70%) of UK holidaymakers are planning to book a late summer break overseas, according to research by Monarch.
The airline conducted an online poll which found that 47% of British travellers have seen their holiday plans affected by the bad British weather this year and will be booking a late deal to make up for it.
Nearly a quarter (23%) of respondents are intending to go away later this year to escape the weather at home, while almost a third (30%) said the poor summer conditions had not influenced their travel plans.
Liz Savage of Monarch said that the airline had already seen strong demand this summer and was filling its aircraft to 90% of capacity at times in August.
She added: "The results of the poll clearly indicate however that a huge number of holidaymakers who have holidayed in the UK this summer are now planning to travel overseas to take advantage of some fantastic late deals and guarantee themselves some sunshine."
Monarch operates flights to Malaga, Faro, Larnaca and other popular sun destinations from Manchester, Birmingham, London Gatwick and Luton airports.
