Exotic Destinations Still Popular For Honeymoons
Exotic destinations "still popular for honeymoons" by Cheap Flights Booker UK
Financial difficulties caused by the recession and the credit crunch are not stopping newlyweds from visiting exotic, far-flung destinations, according to a wedding industry expert.
Darren Noel, commercial director of hitched.co.uk, which offers a free service for couples planning their weddings, said that the economic downturn has not led to people choosing budget destinations for honeymoons.
He also pointed out that the expansion of the travel market means that exotic hotspots are now more accessible.
"There is a subtle move away from the more romantic destinations but it is not a massive move, people are generally going to take the holiday that they want," Mr Noel commented.
"More and more places are accessible like Mauritius, Seychelles and the Caribbean, so the honeymoon … [isn"t] a once-in-a-lifetime trip anymore."
Offering some advice for couples planning their honeymoon, the hitched.co.uk spokesman recommended coming up with a budget in advance and, if necessary, postponing the holiday to make sure that it is affordable.
