Hawaii Welcomes Rise In Tourist Numbers

Hawaii welcomes rise in tourist numbers by Cheap Flights Booker UK

Hawaii"s hotels and resorts said "Aloha!" to an increased number of visitors in September, it has been revealed.
According to the latest figures from the Hawaii Tourism Authority, the number of visitors heading to the three islands up by 7.2 per cent when compared to September 2008.
This brings the total number of visitors to the 50th State over the first nine months of the year to just under five million.
A number of large-scale conventions and holidays, including Japan"s annual Silver Week, as well as fresh marketing initiatives have helped to drive the trend.
Notably, Oahu benefited from an 11.5 per cent increase in tourists in September, while Big Island - also known as Hawaii Island - welcomed 9.6 per cent more visitors than last year
However, Marsha Wienert from the state"s Tourist Authority also reported that visitors are continuing to tighten their belts, with overall spending still down on 2008 levels.
The third biggest of the Hawaiian Islands, Oahu is nevertheless the most populous and boasts some of the world"s most-celebrated beaches, including Waikiki and Waimea Bay.
