United welcomes Continental to flight network by Cheap Flights Booker UK

United Airlines has welcomed fellow US carrier Continental to the Star Alliance network.
The two airlines will now be able to offer additional options to passengers on either service, through sharing frequent flyer miles and a codeshare programme.
In addition, both Continental and United customers can now take advantage of the destinations not currently served by the other.
Glenn Tilton, chairman and chief executive officer of United Airlines, said: "Today is a great day for United, for Continental, for the Star Alliance and for the traveling public.
"The partnership between United and Continental - the result of extensive work over the past year - will enable the two carriers to offer our customers the best global network, more choice and more value."
Star Alliance was established in 1997 and is made up of more than 20 airlines, which collectively serve some 580m passengers per year.
The network"s member airlines operate almost 20,000 departures a day.
