Olympics Buzz Will Attract Visitors In 2012

Olympics "buzz" will attract visitors in 2012 by Cheap Flights Booker UK

Tourists will catch flights to London in 2012 to take advantage of the excitement surrounding the Olympics, an official information resource for the capital has claimed.

According to Visit London, not all of the expected visitors to the city will be coming for the sporting events.

The city will be enhanced by major upgrade works to travel provision as well as to eating, shopping and leisure facilities, the organisation explained.

Sally Chatterjee, interim chief executive officer of Visit London, said: "For instance, next summer the new St Martin"s Courtyard development in Covent Garden opens to provide a buzzy, eclectic feel in keeping with its surrounding area."

"In 2011, the Westfield Stratford site throws opens the doors hoping to replicate the success of the White City development in West London."

Up to £11 billion worth of investment is planned in London during the next 1,000 days leading up to the opening of the games on July 27th 2012.

The reopening of the Cutty Sark in spring 2011, the launch of Tate Modern Two - the new part of the Tate Modern and opening of the Meantime Brewery in Greenwich are all planned attractions for visitors.
