Boeing unveils interior of Dreamliner by Cheap Flights Booker UK
Boeing has offered a glimpse of the first interior for its 787 Dreamliner.
The partial interior was installed on the third test-flight aircraft, which will be launched later this month.
Designed to assess the passenger experience elements of the plane, the layout included sweeping arches that welcome travellers onboard, "dynamic" lighting, more spacious lavatories, larger luggage bins and electronically adjustable window shades.
The Dreamliner was also configured for operational purposes, meaning it featured components including instrumentation racks and engineer workstations.
Tom Galantowicz, director of 787 interiors for Boeing, said: "Our engineers and flight-test team use a disciplined process to certify the various elements of the interior and conduct airplane-level verifications.
"Our team is making great progress and is looking forward to getting this airplane in the air later this month."
Virgin Atlantic, Air New Zealand and United Airlines are among the carriers that have placed orders for the Dreamliner.
The plane is set to be delivered to its first customer in the fourth quarter of 2010.
