The company revealed that overseas weddings have "soared in popularity" recently, with around one in six British people choosing a foreign setting for their big day.

Several other island destinations are popular for nuptial ceremonies, including the Caribbean, the Mauritius and the Bahamas.

Caxton FX also highlighted the options of Thailand and New York for couples planning an adventurous wedding, while those who would rather stay closer to home could opt for Italy or Turkey.
