Flybe to launch new Belfast to Humberside flights by Cheap Flights Booker UK

Low-cost airline Flybe has unveiled plans to launch flights from Belfast to Humberside this summer.

The carrier will operate services four times a week, on Tuesdays, Thursdays, Fridays and Saturdays, from 27 May onwards.

Running on Q-400 aircraft, which have 78 seats in 2-2 configuration, the new route is the first from Northern Ireland to Humberside.

Tony Lavan, airport director at Humberside, said: "The new four times weekly scheduled service to Belfast comes only weeks after Flybe"s announcement of a new weekly service to Malaga for summer 2010."

He added: "We are sure that Belfast will be a popular addition to the schedule and we look forward to working with Flybe to make it a great success."

Flybe currently operates 196 routes, with flights departing from 38 UK airports to 13 countries.

The carrier recently scooped the Best Short-Haul Airline and Best Environmental prizes at the 2010 Business Travel Awards.
